CHAPTER 42

1. I also saw the souls of several people (2) whom they cause to weep; and they ever make piteous cries. 3. And I asked thus: 'Which people are these?' 4. Srosh the pious, and Adar the angel, said (5) thus; 'These are the souls of those who had a father in their mother; (6) and when they were born, the father did not acknowledge them; (7) and now they ever make lamentation for a father.'
