The weighing of the heart is the weighing of a lifetime of deeds. A single feather placed upon one side of the balance — the feather of Ma'at, truth itself. On the other side, the heart of the deceased, with all its love and all its fear and all its choices. May my heart balance. May my life have been worthy. May I walk among the justified.
