The green lotus rises from the water. In the beginning it was not. Then it was. The flower opens and from its heart came Ra, shining in the first morning of time. All things came from that opening. All beauty. All darkness. All life. All death. The lotus closes and the world sleeps. The lotus opens and the world wakes again. I am the lotus. I am renewed.
