Behold the god Thoth! He writeth with a reed pen the words of all who come before the divine tribunal. He weigheth the words and measureth the truth. He who hath spoken truth — Thoth declareth it before the Ennead, and the Great God receiveth the declaration. He who hath lied — Thoth recordeth it, and the Devourer is released.
